"The Tres Fados are described as illusory to clarify that their music has not strictly adhered to the Lisbon folklore of this prototype of songs. The Fados da Mouraria and do Chiado are inspired only by the characteristic setting of these typical Lisbon neighbourhoods and the Fado da Regeira by that of a narrow street in Alfama, in the centre of the old city."
