"Improviso epilogal is the result of a commission of compositions made by the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid to several Spanish composers to dedicate to its director, musician Ramón González de Amezua, on his eightieth birthday. The premiere was by Alicia de Larrocha on October 27, 2001."
