"As a result of having accepted the commission of a piece to commemorate the centenary of Manuel de Falla, I conducted a total remodel of one of the impromtus I composed in 1933, which got the Rabell prize from the Patxot Foundation. In the last bars I integrated a thematic cell from the first movement of Noches en los jardines de España, and the end product was Impromptu en el Generalife, dedicated to Alicia de Larrocha."
