... Montsalvatge says: "The truth is that the work was not very easy for me. One of the pieces, El Gallo, is quite easy, is played a lot and is used in conservatories. Another, La Pulga, is more difficult but is interpreted quite often, although curiously it has been played more by professional pianists than by students".
