Comments

"Captivating by its very attractive melodic and rhyithmic blood, by the ease of its fluidity and for its noble instrumentation yet transparent and delicately colorful."

Franz Walter.

"Concerto Breve keeps being a suggestive work, full of spontaneity and rhytmical vigour. The clarity and coherence of the musical discourse, where there emerge the transparency of the orchestra, the skill of its coordination with the soloist and, above all, the brilliantly written piano part, presenting various expressive contrasts, emphasizing the nostalgic and inspired melody of the second movement which, played by the saxophone, affirms fully its "jazzy" character and its lively rhythms, of afro-cuban profile."

Joan Guinjoan

"Despite its classical appearence, the composer fleas from any subjection to a formal scheme, which turns into an excuse, almost a pretext for a "wink", escaping from the "fireworks" to introduce us into a playful, open and contained atmosphere."

Francesc Bonastre, 1992.
