"In 1947, an edition of this work originally written for violin and piano appeared in the United States. Despite having been published, it was hardly divulged until now when I decided to make a new version for guitar and string orchestra, dedicating it to Jordi Codina who, in addition to premiering it, offer their collaboration to polish the solo part by adding a cadence. It consists of the theme and four variations that want to border the aesthetics of Farnaby's time, giving it a current resonance."
