"I wrote this short piece in 2000, as a commission for a tribute concert to Enrique Franco. It is an approach to the theme of a Lutheran choir that a monk friend of mine introduced me to during my first trip to Paris, in 1933, after obtaining the Rabell Prize, and which I have used in other works."
