"....Montserrat Gascón (flute) and Xavier Coll (guitar), a duo formed in 1989, in fluid communication and perfect agreement with Montsalvatge, made a version in which there is use of the flute in G (L'Elefant) and the piccolo (La Puça) and in which a series of timbral effects are produced that increase its playful and imaginative character, highlighting the humor and fine irony of the composer in the description of each of the animals in the ark."
