"On the 25th anniversary of the publication of his book Vint cançons, the poet Tomás Garcés reissued it in 1970 with twenty songs by Catalan composers, including Montsalvatge, who set the Cançó Amorosa to music. In 1980 the composer made a new version for cello and piano with hardly any changes in the melody and harmonization with the title Evocación."
